Revenue + Retention

Rewards

Turn community activity into points, perks, merch, access, digital goods, events, mentorship, and tiny bribes with excellent branding.

Why it exists

Reward the behavior that keeps the room alive.

Rewards is the owner-run catalog where points become perks. Members earn points through useful activity, then spend their balance on things the Factory owner chooses: merchandise, downloads, access, events, mentorship, supplies, spotlight moments, or whatever makes the room move.

This is not the member marketplace. Marketplace is member-to-member exchange. Rewards are the owner-controlled economy: you decide what behavior earns points, what those points can buy, how scarce the good stuff is, and whether members will suddenly care about replying to posts with suspicious enthusiasm.

For owners, rewards are a retention lever that does not have to feel like homework. Reward the actions that make the Factory healthier, let members chase visible perks, and use redemption patterns as a blunt but useful signal for what people actually want.

A catalog worth earning points for

The reward shelf gives members categories, featured perks, point costs, wishlist controls, stock signals, search, and a reason to keep participating that is not another motivational email.

  • Points Balance: Members see available, earned, and spent points so participation turns into something visible.

  • Category Shelves: Rewards can be grouped into experiences, gear, supplies, digital goods, merch, events, mentorship, spotlight, and artifacts.

  • Featured Perk: The hero strip gives one reward room to sell the fantasy before members start shopping the shelves.

  • Wishlist and Redeemed: Members can save rewards they want and track the ones they already claimed.

Redemption with receipts

Reward detail pages give members the cost, availability, claimed count, description, image, wishlist state, and redemption action before points leave the wallet.

  • Reward Detail: Members get the full pitch, not just a tiny tile and a prayer.

  • Cost and Stock: Point cost, availability, low-stock, gone, and claimed-count signals make scarcity readable.

  • Redeem Check: The flow checks points, stock, active status, and duplicate redemption before spending anything.

  • Spend Log: Successful redemptions update the member wallet, redeemed list, wishlist, claimed count, and reward stock.

Community fit

Why different Factory owners should care.

  • Self-Help: Habit streaks, check-ins, journaling, peer support, and course progress can earn practical perks like worksheets, coaching credits, private sessions, or small rewards for not ghosting your own goals.
  • Fan Club: Exclusive drops, digital goods, merch discounts, shout-outs, tickets, early listens, and behind-the-scenes access fit naturally where fans already want to prove they are in deep.
  • Influencers and Celebrities: Signed merch, VIP Q&A seats, early content, private-room access, shout-outs, styling notes, and limited drops give followers something better to chase than algorithm scraps.
  • Hobby or Maker: Project posts, build logs, helpful critiques, finished pieces, and supply swaps can unlock patterns, templates, shop discounts, kits, tool guides, or spotlight features.
  • Education and Coaching: Study milestones, lesson questions, peer answers, assignments, cohort participation, and client action steps can earn downloads, office-hour seats, reviews, certificates, or premium lessons.
  • Professional Networks and Entrepreneurs: Referrals, useful answers, intros, case studies, portfolio updates, and event attendance can earn templates, audits, spotlight posts, warm intros, or workshop access.
  • Gaming (digital or physical): League play, match reports, rules help, painting progress, deck testing, campaign logs, and event attendance can earn tournament perks, digital assets, league prizes, badges, or table bragging rights.
  • Wellness or Fitness: Check-ins, streaks, challenge completion, progress logs, class attendance, and peer encouragement can earn workout plans, recovery guides, session credits, merch, or group challenge perks.
  • Local Community: Volunteer shifts, event RSVPs, cleanup days, neighbor help, local reports, and meetup hosting can earn local perks, sponsor offers, event access, recognition, or practical supplies.
  • Cause or Nonprofit: Campaign tasks, calls made, signatures gathered, donations, volunteer hours, and training completion can earn mission merch, event passes, recognition, digital kits, or access to planning rooms.
  • Book or Media Club: Reading streaks, reviews, discussion prompts, watch-party attendance, recommendations, and thoughtful debate can earn bonus guides, themed downloads, host seats, merch, or member spotlight moments.
